I haven't been on much in the past month and it has been a whirlwind. We did a week of vacation in Mexico and I came back a few ounces lighter than I left which amazed me. While on the trip, I focused on fresh, fresh, fresh which was easy as there really wasn't a lot of processed food on the menu. Then, I was home for a week and then off on a business trip for the next week. The difference between the restaurant offerings here in the US and in Mexico was eye-opening. Truly! In Mexico, there was a greater emphasis on fresh fruit and vegis. Main dishes were prepared very nicely but without a lot of sauces or added salt and fat. Back in the states, so much of the food was fried, sauced, and the portions are much larger. Nothing like two trips a week apart to put it all in perspective. With all the travel, I'm happy to report I'm down 6 pounds in a month. I know I lose better when I'm home but I can maintain or lose a little when traveling.
