Experimenting with making a breakfast sandwich that tastes like a dream! It tasted SO GOOD!!!!! It's my new favorite and I'll probably be eating this every morning until I'm sick of it!
(⊙ω⊙✿) It's got texture, crunch, sweetness, fiber, protein, a little cinnamon zing.
I eat half and drink the milk. Then 2-3 hours later, I eat the other half. This helps level out blood sugars and keep you from crashing/filling like you overate/and keeping you from being hungry. It also helps with heartburn/GERD. I need my food to be soothing.
The only thing I would change is how I sliced the banana. The chunks kept falling out. So next time I'll slice it lengthwise.
Layers:
- homemade Irish soda bread
- 2 T. natural peanut butter
- 1 banana
- chia seeds
- a light sprinkle of homemade grain-free granola (pecans, walnuts, almonds, coconut chips, cinnamon, almond flour, and low-calorie maple)
- cinnamon
- a very light drizzle of Truvia nectar (a substitute for honey)
