Okay... the begining of my fifth week kinda sucks. i fell yesterday on the belt of my treadmil and hurt my leg pretty badly ( just skin ) which hurts like you don't wanna know. i'm pretty pissed off becaus this week i really wanted to lose a serious amount of weight. i'll eat right and everything but did anyone try atkins without exercising and lost weight? i don't want to spend this week without losing weight. since i've been doing so well the past month.

I usually do both but what's funny is last week when I was without my bike for the first 4 days (and unable to workout) I still lost my usual amount in the end. I think we can get into a phase where even though the exercise is benefical for so many reasons, we don't have to go full throttle every day. I've already started to scale my workouts back by about 30% or so in hopes that I can find my niche so to speak. Take care of yourself first. You're doing great so far.

I read somewhere that if you if you keep doing the Induction Phase for too long you will lose weight but eventually the loss will be very little. i think because you moved to the OWL phase made you lose your usual amount of weight. and i hope i will lose weight without exercising for the next couple of days :)

In the Atkins book he says exercise is non-negotiable. I don't lose unless I am doing a combination of both. However, if I get hurt or I have a busy week where I can't get into the gym all the time, I may not always lose, but at least as long as I am eating right I don't gain. Most people lose a lot faster if they do both. Get better soon.
