This is what I made last night. Pork Sinigang. It’s a Filipino dish. Although there is rice & pork, the pork is minimal & the veggies are the star of this dish. The rice is portion controlled, though I may substitute cauli rice.

Thanks! Sinigang is a sour based soup that you eat over rice. It’s long beans or snake beans I think they are also called, onion, the long skinny eggplant, choko, tomatoes and the typical Filipino Sinigang spice packet. Yum! Sometimes I also cook it with daikon radish and mushrooms. Just depends. Sometimes even okra.

Yeah, I’m just learning how to portion control. But soon I’lltinkrr with subbing for healthier things like cauliflower rice for rice. Just learning how to make Filipino food healthier. It can be quite heavy. 🤙🏼

Good luck on the cauliflower rice! I view it as it's own thing instead of expecting it to taste and act exactly like rice. I've found that it'll take on flavor better if you squeeze out some of the moisture.
