we make homemade rusks. I worked out that the recipe = 186 cal per rusk... I definitely think twice, because who can just eat one rusk!?

That is the best way, I have a rule. I track everything before consuming it so that I can see what impact it is going to have on my calories.
It help allot and I usually end up not eating it as I know I am going to regret it and feel guilty. Works for me

@Riaan I agree. I do the same thing. I log my planned intake in the morning over tea... And if I need to make small adjustments during the day I can, but it's easier to have a base line to work from...
