LionessWolf's Journal, 05 Feb 21

Sometimes I'm frustraited that I'm not at my goal yet and feel like I haven't made any progress. So when I found this old picture I decided to recreate it. These are now my baggy leggings. The first pic is probably mid 170's today I weighed in at 147.

You're still progressing, despite the Catch 22. It took me 4 years to get to my Goal Weight and now I'm trying to gain muscle. Weightloss is no Sprint; it's a Marathon. 🏃🏻‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Thank you so much for all the love and support!!! I always love looking at progress pics and so I thought posting mine might give some encouragement to others. I didn't realize how wonderful it would be to hear everyone's love and support. Truly thank you for taking the time to comment or hit that support button, it means so much to me. And for those wondering I am 5'9" so I'm sure 170's or 147 would look different on a shorter woman. Most of my life I've comfortably and happily fluctuated between 135-145 so my initial goal was to get to 135 and then just working on letting my body settle where it wants, hopefully only getting on the scale of my clothes get too snug. We are all at different places in our journey, it's important to remember it's about making comfortable sustainable everyday choices. Most importantly, health looks beautiful. There is not a number on the scale that translates to beauty, but a healthy mindset translates to inward and outward health that is truly beautiful!!!

I'm 5'9", too. I like getting a little bit of an idea of what I will look like if I ever get to my goal. Actually you are 3 pounds under what my final goal will be so I am thankful that I think you aren't fat. :) And your before pic is probably close to my current weight but I lift so different body composition but awesome to see. ❤😍💪🏻

Yay for us! Wait until you have everyone tell you that your success is only because you are tall. :) Yes- nothing to do with anything else- just height. haha.

Yes Daivdsprincess! I find it so fascinating to see how different people carry their weight. My first picture wasn't long after giving birth to my second child. So I had a lot of extra belly weight and not really any muscle. I'm positive you're in way better health than I was then, which is another reason that sometimes it really doesn't make sense to look at numbers. It's crazy how our mind can play tricks on us. In my head, even though I saw the numbers on my scale, I mentally felt like I was still near my 'before' and that there was still so much more to do to get to 'after'. But clothes don't lie, the only reason I put those leggings on was to take that picture. I realized I don't reach for them anymore because they're too baggy. I spent time yesterday trying on some of the things I thought were too small, some were still too small, but I am able to wear more than I thought!

5'9" and I'll still wear a cute wedge! I don't care if it makes me taller than my husband and neither does he lol

That's fabulous! Shopping your own closet is such a fun non-scale victory! I wear heels occasionally, too- but I think he DOES mind. LOL. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I figured you must be taller. I only asked because I'm a shorty and once i reach 145 supposedly I won't be on the overweight category any longer. But I want to get to 130 because people always asked me if I was pregnant when I was at that weight or over until I got to be the age where they knew I couldn't have kids. Its personal for all of us where we want to land. But there was a time I got to 107 and still felt like I needed to get to 103. It was hard for me to really get a true sense of how I looked. And I was way too hard on myself. Anyway, you look great! Congrats again on your success!!!
