LionessWolf's Journal, 05 Feb 21

Sometimes I'm frustraited that I'm not at my goal yet and feel like I haven't made any progress. So when I found this old picture I decided to recreate it. These are now my baggy leggings. The first pic is probably mid 170's today I weighed in at 147.

Amazing! Checked your journal - you’ve lost so quickly! What are you doing diet and exercise wise?

Thanks everyone for all the encouragment! The first picture was just a couple of months post partum after my second child. After my first baby the pounds melted away without me having to think about it. Second time around it didn't work the same and it was frustrating. I decided I wouldn't worry about it again until after she was one, between the first picture and when I weighed myself after her first birthday I had only lost about five pounds. So I decided to give counting calories a try, I had never done it before, but with this app and a kitchen scale it's been so easy! I wouldn't say I've been terribly much more active, maybe a little, but mostly I've just been eating 1200-1500 calories a day. December I didn't do very well with it as we were moving and Christmas, but after news years I hit the ground running again. I have definitely have days of not logging, but even having the concept of calories in mind on those days have helped me.

Thanks Erq1! I'm mostly trying to get back to my normal pre pregnancy weight so all my favorite clothes fit again, but I tried some on today and I think I'm closer than I thought :)

@lutziforkosh what I forgot to mention is I'm actually completely Fructose Free. Not as a choice, I have Fructose Malabsorption so my body literally can't digest it and it causes all sorts of problems if I eat it.

@Danette thank you, you are too kind. I have Fructose Malabsorption and it took far too long to diagnose and then I had other health complications on top of it. So typically in life I've had the struggle of keeping weight on. I'm just trying to get back to my happy weight after two kids to fit all my favorite clothes again. But it's a good reminder to look at how the clothes fit and not the numbers. :)
