shirfleur 1's Journal, 04 Feb 21

Good morning all my FS friends! I'm sitting on my balcony drinking my morning coffee and shivering just a little 'cause it's 64° and a bit breezy. But it's a beautiful day and a large flock of goldfinches flew in a few days ago and have been entertaining me. It took my a while to identify them because they're dressed in their winter coats, not the bright yellow of summer, but a rather drab brownish/olive. Beautiful just the same and so much fun to watch.

I received my second covid-19 inoculation Tuesday and am feeling fine, just a little soreness at the injection site. I'm looking forward to the day when we are all safe and able to gather together once more. Have a lovely day my friends! 💛

Shirfleur1– absolutely continue to mask up and follow guidelines until most people are vaccinated and there are a lot fewer hosts for the virus to “jump” to. So much we still don’t know about the Covid virus and it is mutating rapidly, with some strains being more contagious

Cloudy and 30 in Oklahoma but still a fabulous day to be alive and well. Hope the soreness goes away soon. Have a happy day. 🌻

Carol, my older son lives in Fairbanks, they're experiencing temperatures in the -20s right now. Sometimes, when we talk the difference in temperature between our homes is 100°.

It is crazy sometimes to realize that other people look out their window and what they see/feel is so incredibly different from what I am experiencing. I loved your cheery post of the birds and lovely morning. This morning we are in a real deep freeze -38F! I didn't poke my nose outside yesterday and likely won't today either! I am so glad you got both shots. I am waiting for my father in law (90 years old) to qualify and then I will be in the group behind him. He lives on his own so he is farther down the list.
