This entry was actually for yesterday, but I am writing it anyway. I went to a fish fry tonight with my family. By the sounds of it I was already setting myself up for a disaster. But I am proud to say I made some really good choices! I had them bake my whitefish instead of frying it. Then they give you a potato, veggies, dinner roll, and coleslaw. I traded in my potato and got double veggies instead. I still ate the dinner roll and half the coleslaw. I was EXTREMELY FULL. But I still stayed in my RDI plus had some left over. I am just proud of myself for making the healthy choices I did, yet I still got to enjoy my dinner. Going out to eat is one of my biggest problems. I don't do it often so I figure when I do go out to eat, I need to eat whatever I want which is usually something unhealthy. I guess I see it as a "reward". That is the type of thinking I need to get out of.
