Day 90 Today was such a day! Had to get out early to get my car inspected and discovered that my daughter went back to college with my car key in her pocket! Bad. Then, I could not find my spare - called the dealer and he said that because of the transponder, I would need to bring/have my car towed to the dealership to get a new key. And daughter could not overnight mail the key because by the time I called her, she had thrown up more than 3 times. Tsk. A frantic search did turn up the extra key, thank goodness! I still haven't had my car inspected though.
The weekend was overall rough but ended up ok: my ex gave older daughter a ride back to school and I gave him some odds and ends out of the house when he came to pick her up - you know, baseball caps, duffel bags, some odd shoes I found in the back of a closet - stuff I didn't feel right just tossing. It was a relief to get rid of things and also to see my ex now that he seems to have gotten so old-looking (compared to the pictures and my memory!). Plus, I did not have to drive 4 hours on Sunday afternoon. Oh, and my daughters basically trashed (she's old-looking, doesn't have great hair, is definitely average looking, etc.) my ex's girlfriend who they met Saturday night - they are such great little liars, bless their hearts! lol!
Then my younger one and I went to visit a friend of mine who then gave me a makeover! So funny since I don't usually wear any makeup but she sells makeup so that was what she focused on - I have to say, I succumbed to the pressure and bought WAY too much makeup! Any way, I do look great so maybe I'll figure out how to take a picture and post it... She also invited me to a New Year's eve party to listen to her husband's band. Her husband is a really sweet guy - he's a high school teacher in addition to being in a band, and I got to know him because he also directed several high school plays that my younger daughter was in, so it would be fun to hang out with the two of them for New Year's.
Ok - this is my last week of nights - keep your fingers crossed for me that it really is the last! I really have to break that 155 barrier by New Year's now, no excuses!
Hope you have a great Tuesday!
