when I moved back to Portland in 2011 I weighed somewhere around 300. i managed to lose 50 lbs rather quicy with no real effort. When I went to the doctor for the first, I was up to 313, but managed to stabilise to around 294. Last December, I started to get more exercise and dropped to 272. shelter in place happened, and I popped up to 287 again. I adopted a vegan diet on July 1 and am down to 275 with about 100 lbs to go. I am using fatsecret to track calories and am surprised at the range of food in the data bses. They even have hemp hearts and nutritional yeast! I feel like I am on the right track. I had been a vegetarian for 29 years before making the switch to veganis. I watched a movie called "Forks Over Knives" and it was a real eye-opener about the health risks of comsuming dairy products. I thought I couldn't give up.cheese but that movie changed my whole outlook.
