DoingItForMe824's Journal, 13 Jul 20

Ok, here I am - Day 1.

I am morbidly obese. I've never in my life been this big. It's hard to move. My body hurts in places it never hurt before. My knees.... Oy they're bad! My right knee hurts whether I'm walking or sitting.

So here I am, determined to make a change. I'm doing this for MYSELF. No one else. Of course, having a 5-year-old who wants to run around and have fun with Mommy is a good reason too. Plus my older girls. They are all my reason, but I'm doing this for me.

So here's to day 1 - Taking it one day at a time, and doing my best for myself!

Good for YOU, be TRUE to YOU :-) and everyone else will benefit also! That is the way I take it; one day and sometimes even one moment, at a time!

I am at this crossroad as well. One day I realized that I am no longer pleasantly plump...I am obese. It is so weird to just finally come out and say it...like saying it makes it real but actually it has been real for a very long time. I have tried everything short of surgery with little to no success. I am strictly calorie counting now...hopeful that as I lose weight I will be able to do more activity. This time...is different than all the other times. Why? I am 100% in...failure is not an option. You got this...I got this...we got this together. Yes... Qiklepik...One day at a time...❤

Hi! I'm in the same boat but much older with several past and ongoing orthopedic issues. People here are awesome and provide lots of great meal ideas. I'm going to lose enough to feel better and have easier time keeping up with grandkids. We can do it!

Hi there and welcome 🥰. So happy to hear that you are doing this for you. As a mom myself and a wife, I have waited too long to think of me. Now first thing in the morning, I workout and then comes everything and everyone else. Running around with the little one will definitely help. You have done it before and you shall do it again. Best of luck and congrats on your decision 🙏🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪

Hello...from experience I think you should try to get some therapy while you’re on your weight loss journey. It’s obvious that you’re capable of losing the weight, but you need to learn how to deal with the emotional triggers without self soothing with food so you can maintain the weight loss. Good luck 🍀

Welcome! I gained and lost a lot with having each of my kids and then... Let go with all the stressed and busy life. It took me too, too long to realize I needed to take care of me. Once I got that figured out and got my plan for what I would do about my weight sorted, it happened! You absolutely can do this! Even after a couple weeks of serious focus, you will feel so much better! We are cheering for you!!!!
