Multiplicity1's Journal, 23 Oct 10

Hi everyone. I am up late since I slept all evening and woke up at 10pm and got up with the puppy. Now I've had two caffeine drinks and I am a bit awake.
I am doing OK with my food but I am not planning ahead enough so I am still not getting all my veggie carbs in but today I got 10 of the 12 so I am doing better. I am making some recipes which is helping. Then I need to follow through to make sure I get the final few carbs of veggies I need. I am doing well staying on Induction plus nuts. It is hard to not eat the cottage cheese and yogurt I was eating in OWL and the fruit. I felt like I was having cravings yesterday. I am back to thinking about quitting the diet drinks again. I know they are bad for me so I am going to cut them out. When I don't drink them I get all my water in but when I drink them forget about getting my water. I have gotten in a terrible habit of drinking 4 sodas a day. I am going to cut them down to 2 tomorrow. Then wean down from there.
Tomorrow I will eat a MIM for breakfast. Then I will try to have a chicken dish for dinner with grilled veggies some kind of stir fry if I can find one. I'll have egg salad or ham or hot dogs w/sauerkraut for lunch. I'll need to have a small salad also.
I am so disorganized since I got the puppy. I really have to start organizing the puppy's schedule into a routine as much as I can. Then I can plan what to do for my activities so I can get a reasonable routine going again. I have been sloppy about the puppy's routine so I can't count on anything as far as a schedule right now.
I have been walking for several days for 30 minutes at a time. My foot has not been hurting so I am doing OK. My foot occasionally still hurts mainly when I drive. I have done my stomach exercises once but it was hard after skipping the exercises for a couple of weeks. I will have to work a bit to get back in shape again.
Tomorrow my plan is to plan my food, take a walk (hopefully 45 min), read and study the Bible, go to church, do my exercises, read my AA meditation, do my spiritual reading and my meditation and pray at least twice a day plus work on my 4th step, call my sponsor and my sponsee. My husband is off work tomorrow so he can keep up with the puppy. I need to work on my house regularly also but I need to get the puppy's routine in place first.
I have been kind of depressed since my routines have been disturbed and my husband has been suffering without a diagnosis. I need to take some steps to feel less powerless.

Hi, same as you with puupy, my journal explains all, IU'm trying to build up exercise to, but like you leg not the best and the cold weather not helping. Buster, one of the puppys went on first walk yesterday, so I'm taking him out tomorrow, lads fighting about walking him, long may it last. You are doing great, and after reading yr journal, I also think I need to plan better, but I'm going to start taking a shake at breakfast everyday. I hope your depression gets bit better and I also believe mine happens, outside SADD, is when I'm disorganised. Got house done today, again journal will explain, so I'm in great form. Hope hubby will soon be better. Thoughts with you.

Hi Andrea! I used to raise Shih-tzus. I understand the puppy schedule right now. The priority has to be to get it on a schedule. I know that you feel out of wack timewise. Hopefully, things will get somewhat back to normal for you soon. Enjoy your puppy. Having a pet is like adding a family member. They become so much a part of our lives. Not to mean that a dog is human, but you know what I mean, hopefully. Thanks for being a buddy. We Can Do It

Hi Andrea, I'm glad to hear you're going to give up the diet sodas. That stuff is pure poison for your body - not one redeeming quality to them whatsoever. And it's true, they can trick your body and you may end up with cravings even though it's not sugar. And you ARE doing awesome on your weight loss! You'll get back into the workout routine as long as you start slowly and get that back as a priority (I say from my recliner! :D)
