So intermittent fasting was a big ass fail for me. Guess I’m going back to 300 calorie meals, sticking with it is what’s worked for me I’d really like to stick with something long term 😞

That’s part of making it work. Figuring out what doesn’t work.

I am doing 48-72 hours long fast each week now. I can tell you its the best tool for healing your body and weight loss. Its actually super easy, but you have to train your mind. If you are serious about weight loss, work your way to zero carbs. No such thing as essential carbs. Forget the fruits, it does you no good. (Fruit is great for recovery for athletes and bodybuilders). Eat your calories, and drink to hydrate. NEVER DRINK YOUR CALORIES!!! Forget the bullet proof coffee, forget the soups, forget any liquid foods/drinks that have lots of calories. All liquids go via kidneys, liver, and your blood within seconds. Thus making you regain your weight quickly, especially around your liver and organs. So its best to eat as much as your want, then after and 1-2 hours you can drink to hydrate. Personally when fasting I eat 1-2 t-bone steaks, 4 eggs, and 3-4 coffees. In my coffee I put only 1 finger of milk per cup to make it drinkable. To hydrate, I make lemonade (1 lemon squeezed in 1.25ml water bottle, 1 cup of chamomile tea, pinch of sea salt iodized and pink salt). When fasting longer than 20 hours, I have 1 tbsp of Nutritional Yeast, and 1.25ml Potassium Electrolytes power drink handy, along my lemonade. Eat more protein, limit fat to <75g, and aim for <20g carbs (ideally zero). DRINK ZERO CALORIES!

Don't sweat it - you'll find what works for you. The important thing is to not throw your hands up and give up. I spent years yo-yo losing and gaining back the same 30-40 pounds but never found anything that worked permanently until I started living a ketogenic lifestyle 28 months ago. Hang in there!

It's okay. We are all different and our brains handle our appetite differently. For example, I can never make small meals work, once I start eating I need to feel full. However I can do intermittent fasting no prob. Just because one method does wonders for someone, that doesn't mean it will work for a different person. Finding what works for you is part of the journey. Don't get discouraged and don't think you "failed", you figured out one method that doesn't work for you and you can now focus on the one that does.

I love everything @jovica87 wrote. I have much better luck eating foods va drinking foods. I just started again today after falling off the bandwagon. You’ll find what works for you❤️
