Forgetfullucy's Journal, 05 Oct 10

Well I am happy, I am under 200 (Opps.. I mean 220) today. Hopefully I can keep this up. It hasn't been that hard really, I do get the munchies here and there, but other then that I think I am doing alright.

After I weighed in a notice popped up saying it will take me 9 months to reach my goal so that would be June of next year. June is great, right before summer break, then I could go swimming with the kids again.

I am concerned about exercise. I walk daily, but I can't seem to get my butt in gear with the weight training. I can't seem to motivate myself yet. I think it may be that I still feel uncomfortable in my larger body, it is harder for me to get down and up off the floor. I am just not comfortable in my own skin.

I will try not to think about it to much, I will keep doing what I have been doing, and I will keep evaluating my progress and comfort level. I am sure I will get more energy as the weight comes off, and I will want to tone up, as I looked at my body this morning its just so.. well fat! Its hard for me to even see myself with a toned body.

I think I will do that. I will mentally picture myself slim and toned, then I might actually want to work towards that. I think I am going to do this everyday.

Enough for now.

I know exactly how you feel. You could have written my journal, except I haven't gotten under 200 yet...so congrats to you! However, may I suggest, make yourself get out of the comfort zone and do things you may not feel completely comfortable doing! I work out with my on demand on my cable TV and MOST of those exercises are uncomfortable to me....and embarassing if my fiance is at home to watch me look like a whale trying to bend and flex...but I do them.....because I know I have to! Good luck, you can do this!

You're doing great! When it comes to weight training think about this, it will help you build muscle and muscle burns more calories than fat. I don't like to weight train because I don't like being sore afterwards, I do it though so I will burn more calories and therefore lose more weight. Plus, I won't be skinny fat when I reach my goal. I'll be toned instead.
