I'm feeling very down lately... Not into the healthy eating.... I was actually doing so much better with it when my personal life was more in a shambles. I am finding myself doing more emotional eating now and I don't even know why! Maybe I need a vacation.. or just a good cry... I don't know. I'm sure not liking how my chart looks, though!

I think that before you were on emotional overload so it was easier to stay away from the food. Everyday stressors can be more dangerous because they bother us just enough to send us to the kitchen. Do something nice for yourself. If the budget allows, sneak in a little retail therapy or a pedicure. Have a good soak in the tub or curl up with a cup of tea and good book. Your chart may not be where you want it to be right now but don't forget how far you've come. You've lost almost 50 lbs. already! I think the change of season, kids going back to school, etc. is doing weird things to everyone's psyche lately. It'll get better! I promise!

With all that you've been through and frankly are still dealing with, that is completely understandable! I think a counselor would be able to help you get some much needed relief, too. I'm sure, you'll make it work out best for you. Chin up chica, you've come alonggggg way! :)

i agree with both evelyn and bt...it is very easy to go back to old bad habits after the "stress" relieves itself a little...hang in there and remember whatever it was that was your deteremination to start this woe...go back to that point and move on again...good luck

Good advice above! Especially to pamper yourself in non-food ways, and give yourself credit for all that you've accomplished so far. Hope things look brighter soon!

Sorry you are feeling down. We all go through this- we make great progress and feel focused and then sabotauge the efforts. You have come so far and are still in a good place. Get out and exercise and feel those endorphins release to bring up your mood! Eat the yummy stuff too, just eat it slowly and consciously and add in plenty of the good veggies and salad with it and all will be well! Big hugs to you!
