Hi FS community. I have been hiding out for a while. This week I gave up on trying to control my food and just watched myself as a free flowing eater. It was revealing and sad to watch, but it did lead me back to FS, so I guess that's a good thing. I've noticed that there are foods that I love and so I find it hard to give them up. I think about them, love tasting them, refuse to eat if I can't have them, etc. I have also noticed that I am still rather addicted to fastfood and eating in my car. I always rationalize that I am tired and in a hurry, but the truth is that all the healthy places don't have drive-thrus. I could have more balanced lunches and dinners on the road if I would park and walk into places that serve proteins, starches and veggies, but instead I go to drive thrus that serve sandwiches, fries, and desserts. Writing this in my journal is a good beginning. I want to continue watching my relationship with food and being honest about it. Peace...
