Up just a tiny bit today 😊 Not a problem! Calories were elevated to 1846 yesterday, but there was no out of control eating. Hubby & I had lunch out to celebrate the "funding" of our Refi mortgage. I ended up eating 2/3 of my Farmhouse Salad for dinner. After a cup of Clam Chowder full of meaty clams I couldn't begin to eat my whole salad at lunch.
Since we were in the vicinity we stopped in at Costco to pick up a few items. WOW!! were we surprised. It was busy, but it was Friday so I thought no biggie. But, in the meat/seafood area lots of the cases were filled with produce instead. Selection was limited to higher $$ items like steaks....& lobster. The only chicken available was skinless breasts & they were rationed to 2 pkgs. per family. Didn't go in cleaning supplies but I was able to get a few other staples I needed.
We needed batteries so stopped at Walmart on our way home. I also wanted a few basics there like canned soup, tuna, some veggies. There were entire aisles of shelves almost empty 😐 No ground beef, no eggs and the canned items were decimated. It was surreal seeing stock almost wiped out in some areas. I was able to get most of what I needed, but no tuna. Hubby went back to our local Walmart for something this morning & the eggs had been restocked.
I am being cautious when going out in public...washing my hands every opportunity. The schools in our community will all be closed this week. I've been watching fares to buy a ticket to fly to Dallas the end of May for my grandaughter's graduation. Two of my sisters plan to go, too. I told 1 of them yesterday I was waiting to see how things go. This morning there was talk of possible domestic travel bans. I would hate not being able to go!
