How do you make them, Shirley?

I put spoonsful of grated cheese on parchment paper (each about 2" in diameter) and put it in the microwave, starting at one minute. You have to watch it very closely, because they will burn easily. It takes a little experimenting, some came out chewy, but I liked the crispy ones the best. I used mild cheddar because that's what I had, I want to try parmesan, I've had them in restaurants.

I grew up on this. My mom called it ‘fried cheese.’ Now it’s become a specialty. I think my mom deserves the credit! 😂😂 Loved fried cheese as a kid. Haven’t had it in years. Brings back so many memories. Thanks 🥰

I bought some parmesan chips and they are addicting! When I read the only ingredient was parmesan cheese I figured I could find out how to make them myself. Didn't think about the microwave. Figured I'd need a cookie sheet in the oven. Looks good!

Wifey, I wish I'd known, my kids would have loved these, they were such grilled cheese sandwich fans.
LOL! Yes najwa, I do know what you mean.
gz, I don't do keto, but that sounds delicious, I'm going to try it.
Jen, my kids used to do the marshmallows, so yummy!

Fritzy, you could do more at one time in the oven, but the microwave sure is quick.

Hats off to you! I burned up $$$ of cheese via microwave / skillet / oven trying to make my own. Fail every time. So while the 'store boughts' are $$ at least I was able to eat those.

Now I have to try the marshmallows. Scary though. One time I did a spaghetti squash in the micro, well it was ONE time!! Closest I ever came to a heart attack! The thing blew up and the door blasted open. I never got such a fright in my kitchen life!!!! I did pierce it before someone says I should have, it was full of stabs, didn’t help. NEVER AGAIN!!! PS. Do marshmallows blow up?? 🙃

Marshmallows are a blast to watch in the micro but YES, must be watched!! Like, 10 seconds maybe. And never ever ever put a full unopened bag of hot dogs in the micro ... unless you are making dog food.

LOL literally Bells. I just said the other day to someone how gross hotdogs are. Now I’m really turned off, just like dog food. Eeeeew *shivering 🤮🤮
