Kathy Vanish's Journal, 16 Apr 13

I had to travel today. I did great, I made smart choices and was able to keep my RDI down. I did return with a caffeine headache though. I am going to have to find a solution to that. I try not to drink anything (my morning coffee) because I can't make it 20 minutes without having to pee. I am trying not to drink pop again pee problem. Right now I just take aspirin, but it doesn't always work and end up having a large cup of coffee when I get home to cure it, but am miserable for a few hours at the end of my trip. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Good for you! You are really showing how determined you are. You're a great example for me because I know how hard it is to stay on track especially when travelling. Sorry, no advice about the headache, but hope you manage to find some solution. Keep up the great work.

Humm, it is a problem I would suggest having something that contains caffeine but not in a liquid form because your body is used to it, calculate how much is in the coffee you like, but, remember caffeine is also a stimulant so when you first get up perhaps on night stand drink a little sitting up in bed, with a low dose aspirin. That way you can go to the restroom before you hit the road and have enough water and caffeine, unless your trying to cut back.I used to love the caffeine in Starbucks and yet hate every cup when I saw how much money I wasted never drank another anything not even water but, found it impossible to give up excellent coffee. A double espresso at home was just like dark chocolate and it was satisfying with out have to drink a bitter carafe of burnt grinds.(Less fluid intake)for a road trip too. Hope it could help a little.

Excedrine makes a migraine headache pill that contains caffeine might be better than just asprin:)

Actually, I think Excedrine Migraine is off the market, however, you can still get the generic form of it. I keep a bottle at my desk at work for my headaches. What you're looking for, when you go to the drugstore is something with all three ingredients: Acetaminophen 250mg(Tylenol), Aspirin 250mg(nsaid), and caffeine 65mg. I have found this works best, and I only have to take 1 pill as opposed to 3 of the Tylenol extra strength which totals 1500mg.

Thanks, I will look for those. Has anyone ever tried 5 hour energy?
