Oops 😅 I’ve been eating everything in sight. Back on my diet today 😇 (side note: I got my cycle on 11/29! 2.5 months late)
This is my final week working at 75% of my max. I will try for a 1 Rep Max next week! I am excited!! This is my first time doing it this way. I hope it pays off! Usually I just add weight every couple of weeks.
My knees are hurting today. I knew they (mostly left knee) would. After dead’s I got on the hip adduction machine for the first time in 6 months. I did a set of 25 reps then when in my 2nd set I felt a pain right on the inside of my knee. 6 months ago I did the same damn thing 😫😤😐 The pain is not bad but very irritating and kept me from really pushing myself for months until the pain was gone. I never learn damn it!!! My back is also sore from going a little too heavy on the T bar row. I hope the knee pain doesn’t set me back. I’ve been working so hard 😔 I never found a pair of knee sleeves I liked but I did get a pair of wrist wraps. I used them for my heavier sets of dead’s yesterday. They were a little awkward but my hands didn’t hurt as much while/ after lifting so that is great! My hands look like a construction worker’s 😂😂

Take it easy--build up gradually. Working out helps your body. If the muscles hurt give them a couple days break to recover--the tiny tears need to heal and then they will be stronger. They will also retain water while healing. Crazycatchick suggested a medical professional==it is always recommended to check to see what your limits might me and if you have any health issues that exercise could affect. I have not read all the posts only the past few.

My SO has had surgery in both knees and I have hip problems and have had 4 back surgeries. Can I suggest resistance bands? Along with stretching, you will be working the muscles and stretching out, which might prevent some injuries. I'm no doctor (I would check), but it is something to look into on "no weight" days.

Awe thanks guys! I really enjoy working out and getting stronger. I’m not competing and I’m not lifting for any particular aesthetic look. I like the idea of setting and striving to reach a certain goal. I know some people don’t understand why I give up sleep or put myself through the pain of working out. I need it for my sanity and so I can’t eat 😆 I’m not really in a rush but Im going to continue to push myself until I either reach my goal or snap! That is just the way I am wired 🤪

I do need to set up an appointment at the clinic. I really think there is something wrong me/ my cycle. I know it’s too early for menopause but its got to be something. I did a little googling and another possibility could be PCOS

@CrashtestDawnie - Even though I have not been lifting lately, I do not regret when I lifted like you do for over a year 👍🏾. However, I may get back to it...

Have you tried good old cardio? Strength training is taking its toll on you it seems. If you feel pain, it is time to stop using that machine and start finding a way to heal up so you dont injure yourself anymore!
