SlimChick's Journal, 09 Aug 10

The one thing that concerns me is my "fat" intake seems to be where a good deal of my calories are coming from. On the other hand, most of this fat is "good" fat / MUFAS, just like most of my carbs are healthy (whole grain brown rice). But I'd like to get my protein intake a little higher.

I always thought it would be next to impossible to intake around 120 grams of protein a day without a shake (protein just tends to come packaged with fat in most food sources), but the refined sugar/artificial sweeteners/artificial flavors in most protein shakes makes me skeptical as to their overall healthiness levels.

Maybe I'll raise my intake of legumes...

My fat intake is WAY too high. Someone on FS said to aim for 50% carbs/30% protein/20% fat. My pie chart doesn't look like that but I gotta work on it.
