winddancer's Journal, 05 Aug 10

I am so busy, that I didn't even take time yesterday to come on site.
I write my food down anyway,so at least that part okay.

My early morning walk was nice,a little cooler(in my mind)one set of cloud above the trees look like a mountain top covered with snow. It looked a little like one of the 3 sisters as you are flying into Portland Ore.its a beautiful site. The 3 sister,Mt.Rainer,Mt.St.Helens
and Mt Hood, those are the 3 sisters you can see.Even St. Helens, with its top blown off had snow on it.

Just think of this,I'm in Fl talking snow.(Smile)

Did a like of different cooking yesterday and continuing today.Just perparing things for this WOE. Of course dh eats different because he
is in the dark about this WOE,old time thinking. But anyway he wanted
chili of all things in 96 degree heat, made it for him however,to me
when we lived in the northeast(born & raised there)those type of meals were for very cold weather.Oh well to each their own.

Made ratatouille which looks so good, bought some baby eggplants so thats how I used them. However everytime I do a recipe like this I can't break down each ingred.my diary would be 5 pages long.So what I'm
going to do is count it as 1 cup of cooked veggie. It has so much in it.

I did try that new revolution recipe which can't be used for induction
because of the sm amt of oat flour in it.I liked it,a little less
eggy, more like a hamburger bun. I wouldn't use this recipe too often
because of the oat flour but it was a nice change. In fact I'll be eating my ratatouille on it today, this way more bulk.
Next batch will be the orginal oopsie recipe.

Today going after blueberrie muffins which are about 2nc a piece, uses a
little soy,so far my weight has not be affected by this. However,I am
smart enough this time not to push the limit.DH wants peach cobbler so I'll make that too.Yes, I feel I can do this wo getting into foods that
are typical for this WOE. Now about a month ago, that wouldn't have
happened.Thats how strong I feel right now.Bound and determine to get
to onederland, thats the first goal.I post another after I succeed.

This is only early August, but I did walk thru the park, took a peek at
the eagle's nest, looks like it needs lots of repair, but the adults do
a good job redoing for the new baby/babies.Of course I was hoping to
see the royal couple but just a little too early, maybe sometime toward
the middle of Sept.

Thats all folks.Hi Keli, you usually come here so top of the mornin to
you

Hi to all my buddies, hope you are all doing well
have a great day

Good morning to you too! It's wonderful the weather is cooperating for you in the mornings. It was 82 on my way in this morning (6am) and raining. We're gonna be under thunderstorm/lightning warnings all day. You are doing so good with your walking. I am so proud of you. And I love how you are thinking (wishing) of the snow. I miss the mountains and rolling hills. Florida is so darned flat! Well, hope you have a wonderful day too!

Good morning! You made me smile thinking of those snowy mountain peaks in my hot Tennessee morning. Hope you have a wonderful day. Wish I was more of a cook like you but I am spoiled because my husband does all the cooking at my house.

Good morning, Mary Ellen. Sounds like you have been busy as usual. I am so glad that you are feeling so much stronger when it comes to your WOE. The three sisters are beautiful, aren't they? We took a trip to Mt. St. Helens one year. What a georgeous place, even with it's top blown. Saw a wolf sanctuary. It was wonderful. The wolves were so majestic and the Alpha was a huge, black fella with golden eyes. He was magnificent. The weather here has been a bear. Hot, hot, and more hot, but in a bit of a break until Sunday. Only the low to mid 90's, then back to the 100 mark on Monday. Have a great day, dear buddy. Miss talking to you!
