Raiyn82's Journal, 03 Aug 10

I really shouldn't weigh myself daily. Today is the first day since I've begun that I stepped on the scale and saw my weight increase. It's a little discouraging but I still feel a lot better overall. My clothes are even feeling more comfortable and I haven't had that much weight loss. My muscles are sore from yesterday's swim. That feels really good. I love sore muscles! It lets me know I've done something good for my body. I am starting a few challenges this week so hopefully that will help me stay on track and push myself a little further.
Entering dinner into my food journal yesterday I was super surprised at how many calories are in olive oil! I have always known that olive oil was good for you so I didn't even give the calorie content a second thought until now! I will definitely not make that mistake again!
Today I plan on increasing my H2O intake a bit and trying to eat 5 servings of fruits/vegetables.
Off to my daily swim! :-)

Weighing yourself everyday can be disappointing, especially when you get closer and closer to your goal weight! Being female, our weight tends to fluctuate constantly due to water retention and hormones too. I have to admit, I'm addicted to hopping on that scale every morning as well, but what I do now is take the lowest weight I've seen for the week and record that one since I figure anything more than that is probably just fluid retention :)
