Well, I'm doing a little nose breathing today. Still congested, but Mucinex has been my faithful friend through this. I realized I've not elaborated on what kind of diet I'm following. Well, it's basically carb counting. My endocrinologist recommended I try it and I successfully lost nearly 70 lbs. I have 34 to go. I fell off my wagon about 2 weeks ago, but I'm back and I'm trying to keep it between 100-125 daily. Why those numbers you ask? Well, I am also a type 2 diabetic. I am trying to get in my nutrition and maintain healthy blood sugar levels too. So far, so good. Glad to be off today to continue to shake this crud. Back to work tomorrow...but I am fortunate. I have a job I enjoy. I work in a medical lab that specializes in medical trials and I ship for my dept. I work with good people and we're trying to do good things. Looking forward to getting to know folks on this site. So I bid you each a good day!

Welcome Vic! While I’m sure somewhere there is someone loosing weight on an “all carb” diet I’ve found too that controlling that simple side of carbs has helped me reach my goals. Good shedding as you continue!

Well, I find that w/ counting my carbs, it's some sort of control but not as restrictive as keto. I do allow myself some carbs. I wish there was a way to go 'all carb' and lose weight....we'd all be winning if that were the case :) . At any rate, I do feel some better and I'm putting right along.

You probably could eat only carbs and lose weight. But the body do not manufacture protein and some of the essential fatty acids that you need so it had to be limited. One member here, Draglist, went on a 5 day mimic fast, which was only veggies for 5 days I think
