Rage Angel's Journal, 21 Aug 19

SO tomorrow the scales and i really have no clue what they will say. The last time i weighed was at the doctor about 1 1/2 months ago. That is where i got the 218. For all i know i could have gained another 10 or so lbs before starting.

I am trying to prep myself that the scales might not say what i want. But i am going to try and keep positive and hope for the best!

The scale number is "just a point on the graph," but I know what you mean. At my endocrinologist NP visit yesterday, I was down only 4 pounds (since May) on their scale. That doesn't reflect the struggle to lose 33 pounds since January. But all my "other numbers" were great. Your hard work will show up eventually, so look forward, not backward!

Buy a scale hunny. When I didn't own one, I let myself go to crap. Time takes time . You can do this.

Please take measurements. You'll see improvements that won't always show on the scale.

That would require me buying a ...i don't even know the name of the soft ones :P I guess i could try doing it with the tape measure in my tool box :D not sure it would work! But ya if they ever fix my truck...they have had it at a 'professional' mechanic since the 5th next time i am at the store i will get one :)

I'm imagining measuring my body with a 50' metal construction tape measure. OUCH! I searched Walmart for "soft tape measure" and found a bunch at -- https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&query=tape+measure+soft

... or go to the "notions" dept. of a fabric store

It doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. An old belt off a robe and a marker. Some twine or that old ball of yarn that you cut. Display the cuttings side by side to show them getting 'shorter' for motivation.

oh hey i can do that THEN measure the twine on the metal tape measure :)

👍 Or just tape it on the wall, the back of a door, and put the next and the next and the next beside them as you see the twine get shorter. It doesn't have to be a number. Just know by the length that you are reducing your size.
