well almost thru another week. Do you find weigh ins kind of like a restart? A way to set new goals? I really look at them as a way of facing up to myself. I can't put it off another day if I have had a bad week and If I've had a good one it is going to show on the scale. I know I Have to stop putting so much emphasis on the number and focus on the long term because this has to become how I eat (basically) for the rest of my life. Not just until the number is right.

I think that's a good way to look at weigh-ins. I view them as official progress markers so I pretty much do anything I can to make sure I'm down for the weigh-in. But I'm one of those personalities who seems to need external accountability controls. To disappoint my consultant seems unspeakable to me, although I really don't know her and in many ways probably shouldn't care what she thinks -- I do. I can't help it. I do. I want the impressed tongue clucking when she says "Hmm, wow, you're down another XX pounds. Good job!" Sigh.
