When you're sick with the flu, do you do anything on your exercise plan? I didn't do anything but lay around.

I haven't been here on FS much this week because I was sick and all I've wanted to do is sleep and watch movies. But now, I'm back for the attack!

I did eat a few things I normally wouldn't have, like some soup that was pretty rich in fats a couple of those days, and one night I ate a lot of chicken, but I felt the need for the protein spike for some reason. I still lost a little weight despite the fringe eating.

Phil and I had lunch out yesterday at The Yardhouse. It's an easy menu to follow: V= Vegan U= under 550 calories. The rest of the food is pure calories and fat, so we don't even look at the other options. There were plenty of "better" choices. When the food value as high as 550 calories, I just don't eat the whole plate. I'm not working out much so I don't require it.

Phil and I notice that we get full so fast now that we're probably stopping at around 300 calories anyway.

Phil's lean. I told him he eats like a bird, I mean, he skipped meals, didn't drink water, hadn't an appetite. I've been gently coaching him to eat the way I do. He said when he eats like I do, he eats all day. I said, "That's the point! Jack up your metabolism so you burn all day!" As soon as he started eating the way I do, he lost weight and his energy shot up!

We bought free weights the other day. I started working out a little last night. It feels great to start building. I had a dream that I had tight abdominals and I really want them! I think that dream was the beginning of this journey. Last night I had a dream and in it, I was wearing a bikini and I looked good!lol! These dreams are pushing me to a new limit!!! :)

So glad you're back - you have been missed. Sorry to read you were ill - I was imagining you away for holiday on some fabulous island without the internet. So glad for you that Phil is on board with you - so much easier to have a partner in your endeavors. Keep feeling better.

Good to see you! Sorry you were sick no fun!! I read that free weight tend to burn more calories than a machine because you have to control them all the time, no machine to hold them for you. Isn't it nice that Phil is with you, my hubby ate a half loaf of pumpkin bread last night, after dinner. Fortunately I have the sense to say no. He says it's his gain time of the year. LOL He does tend to lose in the summer and gain in the winter.
