Yesterday was a very wonderful day. Our vow renewal was perfect. My husband was so sweet and actually looked at me when he said his vows this time (last time he looked at the minister the whole time so I teased him he married the minister). Most of our friends and our sister in law said very sweet things. My sister in law sang The Lord's Prayer and it was so beautiful. All the things I worried about didn't matter at all. The child I was worried about slept through half the vow renewal so she was no problem, the cakes were fine, the balloons held up, almost everyone showed up. The only problem I had was the caterer charging me $275 when I expected to pay $200. After the vow renewal we stayed at a lovely hotel where we had a riverview room with a balcony. I was able to focus on the only important part of the day - recommitting to my wonderful husband.
I did struggle with my food yesterday however. My husband who is also on Atkins decided he was going to eat a sandwich and cake so it was very hard not to eat the chocolate cake I was craving. But I stuck to 1/2 c of strawberries. Later that night though I ate chicken flautas so I went way over my carbs and had high calories for the day also. But I considered the fact that I did not eat sugar a success.
I am going on my trip to San Antonio Wednesday morning. I will make the best choices I can and I will relieved to return home where I can control my food. I do plan on enjoying myself on my trip but not by bingeing. I hope everyone had a delightful and prosperous day. Oh a great little thing happened today. I had ordered some sandals for my trip and I was told I had to order a color I didn't want because there were no shoes in the size and color I wanted. So I decided I was just going to visualize that a mistake would occur and they would somehow accidentally find a pair of shoes in the size and color I wanted and I would get them despite my special order for another color. Well my shoes came today and they were the beautiful turquoise color that I visualized and wanted and not the color they special ordered for me. So it was just a little confirmation that visualization works!

What a great day - and don't beat yourself up about going off track for a little while - every now and again its ok. The best bit is that you are back on - I am so very proud of you.

So glad to read that things turned out well. What a sweety you have for a husband! We just this past Wed had a guest speaker at the office who spoke on Visualized Health. It was really good information. It keeps you on the positive and I like that.

So after all this time you are truly married? Glad your day went so wonderfully and that your husband repeated his vows to you. Congrats to you both and yeah on the shoes.

Congratulations! Sounds like a wonderful day. My husband and I are wanting to renew our vows on our 25th anniversary in Nov. but we havn't started planning anything yet. I think you did good for your special day. One day is not going to hurt you as long as you get back on track which you already are. I am so happy for you.

Aaah how sweet. & let me say go you for resisting the cake. I think on my wedding or vow renewal I would have had some cake for sure. You are serious sister and it won't be long before you are below 200!

Andrea, I am so glad that your special day turned out to be everything you wanted it to be. You did a great job resisting the temptation of chocolate cake!! That is my weakness, and I am not sure I could do that on such a special occasion!! Have a great time on your trip! Just try to stay as close as you can to your food plan, and you'll be fine!! Enjoy! You've been working very hard at changing your lifestyle and you deserve to have some fun !!
