Oh no do not feel bad. We all need advice from people with real life experience. Not from people who lost their baby weight and have become self proclaimed experts. At least I do. So keep it coming

Everyone's journey is different and some are easier than others. Keep striving for that end goal and learn from the paths taken.

I think you have a lot to offer. And for me, this site is more about support than advice. I know exactly what I SHOULD do and what is the best way for me to eat. I know I CAN lose weight, I have lost weight and I've gained weight back. The most valuable thing I get from FS is support, the people who cheer me on for trying. Not from those who say their way is the best or only way to lose weight or that my way is wrong. I love to hear about all the different experiences and things people try and pictures of what people eat.

Yes, I agree Fritzy! It is interesting to see everyone's journey. Everyone has something to offer.

You are a good role model! As long as we never quit and keep trying we haven’t failed. I have always valued and appreciated your posts and support.

It says something about them. They obviously require more to stay on track. Someone else's journey shouldn't deter yours. Couldn't that be judged as weak?

I enjoy a good success story but perseverance is always more inspiring.

I've been using this site since 2011, and I am just finding success this last year. Thank you for being here and sharing your struggle.

I am so happy you are on this site. Your post was well stated and encouraging. Thanks 😘! I have only been here since May and have found it to be the best. In the past, I would never even tell my husband how much I weighed. Now I am able to share it with so many people and they care. What a great feeling. I think back to my old Weight Watcher days: shhhh, it's all a secret until you reach your goal.

It is only a failure if you stop trying. The wise King Solomon said " ... the race is not to the swift..." Winning is getting up when you fall and trying again. No matter how many times it happens or how long it takes. Being loyal to yourself and persevering is strength of character. I want to surround myself with those kind of people.

I have been on FS almost a month. You are right there are many many people on here who have a lifetime struggle behind them and still pushing forward. Others have struggled with a yoyoyoyo up and down up and down. Then there are some who have successfully lost weight (most likely for the first time from their profiles and posts ) who think they have found the answer to weight loss. The statistics are not in their favor...I wish it were otherwise but they are in the same boat as everyone else. They just dont realize it yet. Listen and find friendship with the ones in the same place as you. All the rest is just noise.

The only FAILURES, are the ones who QUIT! You are a winner! Keep up the good work!

Agree. However maybe it’s time you changed something up? If you are low carb then maybe adding carbs. If you aren’t then (omg I never thought I’d suggest this) perhaps low carb may be a good thing to try. It’s hard! Just learning our body and mind on this stuff is hard! As Debbie said, you aren’t a failure, you didn’t quit! Did you gain the wait quickly? Doubtful. So it’ll take time to come off. I think you’re a good cheerleader and FS is lucky to have you! Also, perhaps a chat with your doctor? My aunt has a very hard time losing but can gain very easily. She’s diabetic and when that’s controlled well she’s more stable. She doesn’t eat all that much either. I know she went to the dr a few years ago and later I noticed she wasn’t gaining anymore. Not losing any that I could tell but not gaining. Perhaps there is a medical reason for your struggles (they did a cmo, cbc and thyroid panel for me). Best of luck on breaking this plateau and getting where you want with your WoE.

Hi everyone! Thank you for the support. Fortunately, I am able to lose weight. I don't have anything that medically prevents it. My biggest issue is I have Binge Eating Disorder. If you look at my weight loss history you can see it is a up and down up and down - sometimes several times within a week. I am trying to use these exercises called DBT - Dialectical Behavior Therapy - to learn to deal with strong emotions that I can't seem to handle so I eat. So far this is helping. My latest challenge was getting hit by a car so that's why I gained the 50 pounds. Not a great excuse but eating was how I coped. So my latest plan is using DBT, logging my food, learning to walk again, and planning my meals. So far it is working!

Fcuk the haters. The only failure is quitting. Took me nine attempts before I finally and permanently quit smoking. My first attempt at getting in shape was 2005. I find the persistence and accomplishments of the many people on here with challenges far greater than mine inspiring. Let's go! #grindtime #stayhungry #mindset
