Feeling defeated. Feeling sad...
I just want to feel confident...
I struggled with outfits this morning. It was raining and I just felt blegh. I want to like what I see in the mirror. I have decided that I can’t just feel sorry for myself... so I invested in myself. Got myself a new face lotion, some cleanse products for my insides and just some things to make me feel like I am trying harder! I am really hoping that they aren’t just a gimmick and they actually work and improve my health. So I’ll be taking a before and after of my efforts!
Wish me luck!

What ways do you help improve your self esteem and confidence?! I’m thinking of going for a walk tonight. Take a little time to meditate, reflect and soak in a little moon!

I hope you all have a beautiful day! 🥰

Its hard boosting confidence. Be happy where you are. don't wait for tomorrow. doesn't mean you have to stay where you are, but enjoy the journey. Thanks for you post. easier said than done! I've been on track lately and still have days where I feel like something is missing and feel discouraged that this whole process takes so stinkin long.

Getting on the treadmill in a cute outfit and strutting to some badass music. It's a little cheesy at first but It improves my mood almost instantly.

@mrssetters I can see how that helps! I don’t go to a gym though... I decided to take a Himalayan pink salt and rose bath, used a sea mineral face mask, used a good scrub and cranked up some rap music, booked a hotel for my Vegas trip, ordered some local GF beef jerky... then slathered on my new lotions. My cooling gel face mask is cooling in the fridge... I plan to throw it on as soon as it cools. And then maybe take a stroll with my kids after dinner!

@rosio I’m trying. Slowly learning that it’s okay to. It’s hard when you have always been told loving who you are is considered a bad trait... I think as women it’s something we all have to unlearn and relearn how to love ourselves! That’s why I am teaching my kids to love themselves and be proud everyday and to not depend on anyone else to make them feel good about themselves! So far they are breaking the cycle and very confident young ladies!!

@smarti Yes. I read a post today about learning to love the body we used to have, have now, strive for and even our old slow wrinkled ones we will one day have! Made me realize I don’t let myself love myself now... so it’s something I am working on. Showing myself some extra love and attention will hopefully help me. Relaxing, meditating, reflecting, improving and embracing...

@emaleeg I like to turn up my rap music with lyrics I can’t listen to with my kids around! 😉

It’s one step at a time. One step after another. Do something to improve your health today. You’ll feel better because of it. Do it again tomorrow. Add another healthy behavior. You can do it! We’ve all been there.

I like aroma therapy. Those oil diffusers with the essential oils, a big fluffy pillow & comforter, and a good audiobook makes everything right in my world. Especially when you top it off with going to bed early and getting a good 6-8 hours of sleep.

@love2educate Thanks!! That’s what I plan to do. Get into good habits that put me first. As a super busy mom sometimes I forget to stop and breathe. I feel like it’s aging me and wearing on me... so I had to take a pause and reflect on how I can be a better person all around by also taking time for me... I want to be an example for my kids to love themselves by doing not just preaching... So I have Been walking a lot more, drinking more water, cutting carbs, detox baths, detox drinks, using my face masks, new skin care products, doing more craft projects and such... even going to buy myself some new sunglasses to feel fab in 🥰😉

Buying the beauty products was a great idea! Mani-Pedi is another good one, cleaning my house, making to-do lists and crossing things off as I complete gives me a confidence boost, and working out and eating right, and buying a new flattering outfit...if you don't believe in yourself enough right now to pick out an outfit take a friend that thinks your beautiful and is a good dresser and have them help you. If you don't have anybody help you pick stuff out then look up flattering ideas for your body shape and then go shop. Thrift stores have the good deals but even splurging on one good piece is great...even if you want a huge sweater to hide in for now buy one but make sure it's really pretty and makes you feel beautiful.

@courtney I like the cozy bed and audio book idea! Have any good suggestions for a book, I’ve actually never listened to an audio book unless it has to do with my kids homeschooling curriculum 🤦‍♀️ I tried to go to bed early two nights ago... ended up waking up at midnight wide awake and then tossing and turning until 7am and waking up feeling tired. That’s probably why I feel so blah today. I feel like I am still recovering from such terrible sleep!

@mamamc7 sounds like you are doing a lot. My new advice may be to do less 😁 if your interested in losing weight, logging your food will be the best next step.

Great ideas! I've gotten a confidence boost from volunteering at local organizations. They appreciate the help and I can use my skill sets to remind me that I have a lot to offer.

@sharon good idea! I do plan to get some new sunglasses to feel good in. (I need some, my green eyes are so sensitive to the sun lately) But I also plan to wait one month to clothing shop and then go shopping, hoping to have a little more results that I am working on... and buy an outfit or two for Vegas!! I do need to go get some new stretchy jeans at target. Two pairs are getting too loose and becoming unflattering!!! So I have to chalk that up to a NSV and be proud and happy for myself! I know I need to be patient and forgiving of myself but it’s like I drank one detox tea and had a detox bath and I’m wondering where my six pack is now 🤣🤣🤣 (not really... but I’m just really anxious for more results 😩)

@sall I really like that idea! Volunteering would be such a great way to boost my self esteem and appreciation!

Invest in a treadmill, I asked for one for Christmas from my fiancé and it was a lifesaver through the holidays. Whenever I feel bad emotionally or if I go overboard on the weekend I hop on the treadmill even if I'm just walking the movement gets my energy up and makes me feel productive.
