winddancer's Journal, 21 Jun 10

Hope all enjoyed Father's day with family and friends.
Its was very beautiful at the beach.St.Pete,Sirata,Passe-Grille are really pristine.I couldn't help but wonder if this is all going to last for us.As you look to the horizon,up,down the coastline, its scary
what might happen if something isn't quickly done with that oil spill.
I have my own thoughts which I will not post.

Took all kinds of good foods out to the beach to share with family & friends.Everyone enjoyed steaks, salad, twice baked potato, angel food cake.

I took a taste of the potato which was excellent, this is one of the things that came with our order from Omaha Steaks. It was hard to resist
but I felt if my goal was to be reached then I would have to stick like glue to it.
No big deal,I don't feel like I'm missing out.I would feel like that
if I didn't get my weight off.

The sunrise this morning was beautiful.Sun coming up behind a thunder
head with it outlined. Then long grey clouds along side. Its of course humid, hot, sultry you name it we got it.

As I walked along the opposite side of the park,I couldn't help but look at my nest which look lonely. But come end of Sept, the Eagles will
be back to redo if the predicted hurricanes don't knock it off the tree. But will be positive and hope we have a fair or good season.

Thats all for today folks, enjoy,be successful, think positive

Hi good buddies missed you all, will catch up

Mary Ellen, pleased to hear that you had such a fun and successful weekend. I love the St. Pete area. We spent a lot of time in the Englewood area, and I, too, am worried about the oil. I have friends that make their living doing fishing charters, and their biggest charters are the Tarpon tournaments in Boca Grande. I shudder to think what is going to happen to all my friend's livlihood, no to mention all the beautiful sealife, that is being affected by this disaster. I, like you, have my opinions, but this is not the forum for that. I will continue to pray that this disaster doesn't reach the proportions that I am afraid it will. FLorida sunrises are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. I hope that your new plan of action is working for you, and that come the next day or so, you will see a loss!! I so look forward to your journal entries, Mary Ellen, they always brighten my day. Glad that you are my buddy!!

Hi Stef, You always say such wonderful things, love you for that, glad that we are buddies too.Well tomorrow will be the tale of the tape sort of speak, not going to stress one way or another, with me that causes binges No way,not going there. So as you know we have to sometimes tweak program as we go along. Our bodes do get use to one thing or another' I remember when I do 2 day rotation that was the reason for it,so ones bode wouldn't become sensitive to any one food.I had to have special blood work at the Great Smoky Mts.which showed what foods I was sensitive too.It takes 2-3 days for sensitive foods to react on the body Its not like having a allergy that can be seen right away with the scaping of the skin with needles.

Awww, Mary Ellen, you are so sweet. I am rooting for you, girlfriend, and I know that you won't binge. You are stronger than that! And your weigh in tomorrow is going to show that the tweaking is working. I have been very lucky so far that I really haven't had to tweak too much. I have done this enough times to know what is going to happen with certain foods, (like Atkin's bars) so I avoid them like the plague!! However, that being said, I have never tried to add carbs back in, and that is what scares me. I will cross that bridge when I come to it. In the meantime, I will just keep going along like I am, until my body rebels and thinks need to be changed. I am so sensitive to carbs and sugars, that I may never be able to get over 40 grams of carbs a day, but if that is what it takes to stay healthy, then that is what I will do. I did not know that they could do blood tests for food sensitivities that don't show up right away. What foods showed up when you had that done, that you now avoid? Has it helped? This is interesting!! I would really like to know more. Maybe we could test the hubby and see what is causing his life threatening allergic reactions, even when he hasn't eaten for hours. Hope that your Monday is an awesome, fantastic, super duper, and low carb kind of day!!! You are a true treasure!!

Thanks for the kind words Stef......Mushrooms,dairy,soy products were some of the things that showed I had a sensitive reaction too.If I woulf remember and pay heed to these things I might feel better. Rotations are strict and limited but do work, like everything else you have to work at it.Can you believe I toss all of that out.Wish I hadn't but my brain does stupid things most of the time because its floating out in space,so with that common sense leaves.Great Smokie Labs that I know of does this type of blood work and its costly.Redoing my approach to program, either my bode is screw up or that thing that floats out in space is.Better watch out this could be dangerous LOL Have a wonderful day good friend
