You need to look at a food plan that has real food. With 1500 calories, you can eat a wide range of healthy foods. Bet the weight will come off. And, yes, record everything you put in your mouth.💙

I agree with @erquiaga those slim fast drinks are not the best for you. I'd look at more whole food options. good luck 💕

I agree with the comments here. You need real, actual food. Think how much you can eat and enjoy in place of those shake calories - not to mention the crap that is in some of those shakes. Always weigh and log the food. You would be surprised at what a serving in some foods actually is. Or what a tablespoon serving looks like. It is best to weigh butter and things of that nature as I found a tablespoon of whipped butter...is actually more than the gram serving size - confuses me much. *cries*

I'm going to vote for the whole foods option, as well. I've tried it your way, with weight-loss shakes and limited meal options---I got NO results---at least, not lasting ones. I'm doing Keto, with IF, now and I'm losing, when nothing else has ever helped for more than a week or two. That being said, everyone is different. Good luck finding a plan that makes your pathway successful and easy, and aids you in achieving your goal.

my experience with those shakes is that I gained weight and was very constipated. now I am back to enjoying whole foods that my body can use and is filling! Good luck

I'm sorry that you are having such a hard time right now. I've been there, desperate to try anything to get to some magic number by a certain date, including Slimfast which failed spectacularly 20+ years ago. It's always difficult to keep going when big lifestyle changes are made, and the more drastic the change, the more difficult it is to keep going. It also can take a long time for the changes to take effect (3 weeks isn't long) and for your body to not respond like it's under threat. Treat yourself with the gentleness and kindness you would a young child having to adapt to a sudden life change. You deserve nothing less.

It is really hard to know just what to do when starting out. Certainly most frustrating when efforts do not show results. When I started out I decided that low carb/ high fat and intermittent fasting was what was Right for me. I got lucky and it did work. Now I fast daily (different times) daily. What I have learned is that most people who have a lot of belly fat (like I did) are insulin resistant. One way to improve and eventually get rid of it is by low carb ,high fat and fasting. I am down 71.2 lbs since end of June. My biggest thing I learned is that sugar and carbs spike insulin and that losing weight is not about calories in and calories out. I also exercise while fasted because it is good for you. Today I had a fish and chip dinner for lunch and the carbs didn't scare me because I know that my fasting today and lchf tomorrow will take care of it. 😀 Good luck.

I have a friend who swears by his slimfasts. He got me to try it years ago (my body reacts almost immediately to change) and I gained 12 pounds that week. Yesterday I had 3 poached eggs over curried riced cauliflower, leftover shrimp curry for lunch and three grilled szechuan chicken thighs, roasted cabbage with portobello mushrooms and a banana before bed. All that food, well under my 1500 calorie budget. You can do it, you just have to cook and eat real food and be consistent. If you like eggs, eat them every day all day for three days with lots of water. As many eggs as you want, adding cheese and real butter is fine. If you lose weight from those three days it means you need to consider a carb deficit. Best of luck to you ❤❤❤❤

Give the cabbage soup diet a week to get you kickstarted I take out the bullion cubes to cut down the sodium and water weight I dropped weight fast

In my opinion, skip the slim fast. Buy a food scale & make you own lower carb homemade meals. It’s taking me forever to lose anything too. From what I’ve read, you have to burn 3500 calories to lose one pound. I don’t think the calorie calculator on here is that great either. It’s always good to check other sites. Keep on keeping on. You got this!!!

Friendly reminder that it takes at least 4-6 weeks to see ANY physical difference in your body with healthy weight loss/exercise. 3 weeks is NOTHING. Dieting is playing the LONG game, so don’t trouble yourself for not losing anything yet!! You’re just getting started. I highly recommend finding a diet plan that lets you eat whole, healthy foods instead of meal replacement shakes like slimfast. It’s better for your body and generally far more effective at helping you lose weight. Cut the processed sugary stuff, up your fruits and vegetables instead. Go for foods that are filling AND nutritious, rather than either or. It’s better to consume something with nutrients you can use, rather than tricking your brain into thinking you’re full with a diet drink. And remember that you are beautiful JUST AS YOU ARE. Dieting is about being healthy and making positive changes in your life, not how many inches you have on your waist, okay? You’ve GOT this.

Don’t give up! Maybe just change your mindset from dieting to a complete lifestyle change. Dieting always seems like something temporary . Making small changes will help you in the end. No sweets good carbs and good fats(if you have a craving for something sweet aim for a yogurt with a sweet fruit like pineapple or apples). Don’t get discouraged.♥️ eating properly is always the hardest part. If your not already doing so add some weights to your workouts. This will help you build lean muscle which in turn will begin to boost your metabolic rate, so your body will burn more fat.

Plus, shakes do not provide you with the chewing motions that is an integral part of how your body defines satiety and a feeling of being full

You can totally do it. One step at a time. One day at a time. Make everything a habit. You can totally do it!

You got this. Continue to be patient you’re going through all the motions and it just takes time to see some results, but you will. I haven’t read through everyone’s comments yet, but I would recommend trying to supplement one of those shakes with something else. 600 calories of fruit, chicken and veggies, etc. is a lot more satisfying and your body wants those nutrients. You’re going to have a great time on your cruise, the hardest part is keeping that positive mindset.

Don’t give up! It takes time 💕

The work outs will help. If you diet without them your metabolism will slow down (it's a biologic good for lean times)thus leading to your impasse so far. Watch things melt when you count every calorie and carb AND increase your metabolic rate.

try changing your diet... slim fast never worked for me. That maybe the case for you. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. For me personally, I lose at a steadier rate when I eat more of the right things. Its just a matter of fine tuning. Try cutting out the slim fast a bit and the fruit and add in more vegetables. The combination of sugar in the fruit and carbs in the slim fast might be slowing your loss. Try it for a few days and see if it helps. OR eat the fruit in the morning but do fruits lower in carbs/sugar like berries or a small apple vs a banana. I would also add more cardio and less weights at the gym. What ever you do, just remember, rome wasnt built in a day...
