OMG!!! I didn't think the day would come that I'd see a FOUR for the second number! This has been so ridiculously difficult. Can't believe a tiny bit of thyroid medication can make this much difference. I'm actually beginning to lose weight like "a normal person". I've been on thyroid meds for 25 days and am down nearly 7 lbs. Six pounds for sure. I was so used to not really losing weight for so long that I didn't get on the scale the first day I started on them. Anyway, I'm SO excited! IFthis is a trend, an ability to lose like others, then I should reach my goal by mid September! That would be awesome! My daughter showed me some pictures she has from over the last year and a half or so and WOW. I was BIG. At one point, I think my weight was 185 - which is when I decided to smoke again. It wasn't worth it even though I did lose a good 15 lbs during that time. I'm proud of myself because I've lost 25 lbs since Dec. 29th with diet, exercise, a previously undiagnosed thyroid problem AND having quit smoking last Oct.! Yay me : )
