Hahahahaha, I was bad last night and poof the excess weight starts to disappear. I had KFC last night..yeah I know...its bad for you and so on and so forth. I needed a break from my strict diet. I ate it, had some laughs, went to sleep, visited the bathroom because my "stopped up issue" disappeared...then I went to the basement to weigh myself....BAM... a 6/10ths of a pound weight loss. Hahaha, almost defies logic. Now, if I could just start moving past 217.4 we would be all set. I will be starting my exercise next week...so hopefully that also pushes me past this plateau. I guess, every once in a while I will eat stuff that is not in my diet to get the innards going.
Thoughts of the Day:
1) Time to Mix it up - I have planned out what I will do going forward. I will use my job's gym 3x a week at least, I will work out at home on the days that I am not at the work gym and I will add in extra "course of the day" physical activity. As an example, normally I drive to the subway station, park the car and walk about 5 minutes till I get to the station...now, I am just walking from home and I have a 15-20 minute walk to the station. That little change adds about 30 minutes of walking to my daily activities, I am also getting out of the subway stop for work at a farther distance so I can walk more to get to work...that probably adds another 10 minutes of walk time. Easy changes equal about 40 minutes of walking. I need to do these little things to speed up my caloric deficit so that I can start trending back down again.
2) Happy is as Happy Does - At work, people tend to do things for self interest...what is in it for me? I try to help others as much as I can through encouragement and support. A true leader is someone who does things not because they are easy but because they are the right things to do. When you lead by example, most often, people will follow. I am a firm believer in the "pass it forward" concept. Try it, believe me you will feel great and people will pass it forward...
