Had a wonderful weekend. Plenty of rest time, and exploration w/ my hubby as we ventured out around Gloucester and Rockport, MA. What a beautiful area!! Lots of walking, picture taking and basking in the sun!
Made it successfully through the weekend in regards to eating. Even with eating out, I chose wisely... kept myself hydrated (which was a challenge to find bathrooms!) but all in all, it was a good weekend!!
Headed out to my first volunteer 'position' working in the office of my home church. After, I will end up my day at the grocery store, then back home to spoil my husband... he is in hopes for a homemade 'apple crisp' and I would really like to surprise him and have one made when he walks through the door!
He IS NOT following low carb... and i don't really like 'apple crisp'... so this shouldn't turn into any kind of an issue for me.
Hope you are all doing well.
Much Love.

Massachusetts is a beautiful place, and Glouster is great, have you done a whale watch ? It's fantastic, we did several years ago when we vacationed in Boston, had the time of our lives.

Apple season, new england Fall, and the ocean... 3 of my favorite things! Although I no longer eat the apple crisp, hubby said it was FANTASTIC!!!

It sounds like you had an uplifting weekend... wish we were all there with you! I'll try to follow your wise example on eating out. Tomorrow we pick up my daughter's future mom-in-law at the airport and will be taking her out to dinner. I hope she doesn't like apple crisps.

I have a lower carb version of apple crisp for those who eat oatmeal; really quite good. The crisp is made with oatmeal, a little carbalose flour, polydextrose, xylitol and butter. It can be done!
