I enjoyed my black Friday as usual …… at home in my Pj's swilling coffee and eating leftovers. I will as a result not have a black and blue Saturday. I went once, and lady rammed me with her cart and pushed me into a display … broke a couple of ribs. Haven't been shopping on that day since. So my family has changed black Friday to pajama Friday (last years Christmas pajamas) we stay home play board games, no t.v., phones on the hall table not in hands. We enjoy each others company. It is a continuation of our gratefulness to be together, healthy and loved.( and a fabulous use of the leftovers) When I look for extra ways to celebrate my family, I have learned that it makes me appreciate the time they can spend with me better... everyone has a schedule and life of their own. and I am blessed to have been able to raise such wonderful new parents. so the family now consists of my mom, myself, my 3 children their two spouses, 6 grand children and 2 boy great grands and a girl on the way. It is odd that I never thought to be the oldest in my family but it will happen in a few years. I asked mom when this elusive "older and Wiser" kicks in.... all she had to say was " Well it hasn't yet!" So...LOL I guess there is another myth busted.
