Everytime I start a new diet, I'm serious about it, I just don't stay very serious when food gets put in front of me. I go off track and say well, I've failed the diet today, might as well keep eating and I'll start fresh tomorrow.
But the mentality I have about dieting is wrong. It isn't a goal, its a lifestyle change. A major lifestyle change.
My senior year of high school I was a size 6 with a perfectly flat stomach, and if I do say so myself, a pretty nice rear end. Now its almost 4 years later, after having my first child, and I don't even feel like myself anymore. I haven't lost any of the baby weight and/or freshman 25, and I just hate myself some days. I find myself avoiding social activity because I can't stand being the "fat one" amongst my friends. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, and I am so tired of simply not feeling myself. At the end of my pregnancy, I weighed 70 pounds more than I did in high school, yuck. So, I guess its time to get serious, really serious. But as my former efforts have proven, I haven't been serious enough, if I had been, I'd be thinner by now. Anyone who wants to motivate me and/or encourage me, please feel free to do so.
