I have more problem with distribution of weigbht than with too many pounds. since I went on insulin with shots in the stomach, I have developed a belly....big time. Original results with diet meant I lost in my arms and legs, but retained the belly. Breathing problems restrict my excercise...and to be honest, I am not much motivated to excercise beyond daily chores.

A modified South Beach diet became the most effective way I have found to get my blood sugar back to "mostly" normal so I'm pretty well dedicated to keeping with it even if I don't lose so many pounds.

I've never done a public journal before, so I don't know if I'm on track or not....

I am so glad you found us. The support here is incredible! I couldn't exercise due to heart issues when I first started here, then all I could do was stretching and yoga. I am just now building up do being able to manage cardio. This plan worked great for me, in fact the weight I carried around my middle was the first to come off.
