I am sorry if you decide to go. I know it gets ugly sometimes. I get frustrated getting sucked in myself. it is so important for people to have an open mind and recognize we all have our own struggles and can't live by the same rules. I have always enjoyed your pictures and you will be missed if you leave.

When all else fails and the righteous indignation begins to consume me... I just keep repeating to myself: be the better human, be the better human, be the better human - we admire your strength!

Some people just can't believe there's more than one way to the same destination.

What works for me is to delete any comments on my journal that I don't like (this own is HUGE - works great!), and to never comment on someone else's journal to argue with them :)

Basil, mozzarella, tomatoes and balsamic????? My fav! Mouth is watering! And hey, I’m a vegetarian on a site where most folks are stuffing their faces with meat and fat! There’s a place for all of us 😊

Calm down? I'm just trying to understand the logic. Even my friends on here read my posts in a yelling manner. Is it the profile pic? lol

And Alan is not huge or bearded, silly.

What a boring world this would be if we all had the same opinions. There are hundreds here all heading in similar directions but going about it in a “this fits me” fashion. Love it! You might consider doing the same and “be happy rather than right” as you go about your business. Character assassination will never change the truth or validity of knowledge. Much knowledge here, take what you can use and quietly turn away from that which doesn’t apply....
Hope you stay.

@60pack-I don't expect everyone's approach to weight loss to be the same and respect others devices to achieve success. I thought that would be clear. I DO expect OTHERS to assume that same approach and not inundate me or anyone else with criticism for how we choose to achieve a healthy weight and improved health. It wasn't knowledge that was being SHARED...it was an aggressive critique of what was working for me as being COMPLETELY wrong. Don't tell people they are WRONG or that their success is due to something OTHER than the principles they are applying if what they are doing is CONSISTENTLY working. It was very unpleasant. I did not retaliate, however.
I'm not here to judge anyone. I am here to share in others experiences and to share my own. I have had much success with my approach so far and would like to share what I am learning and the delicious food I have been preparing with others. I hope there is a positive takeaway from my contribution here.
As for character assassination, I don't see any evidence of that here.
Behavior reflects character.
Character reflects integrity.
Integrity reflects honesty.
Honesty reflects truth.
Truth builds trust.
Trust builds faith.
A successful day is wished to all here with a mission.
Each day is a day. Believe in yourself. Stick to it.

NOTE: Just a slight follow-up...Keto, Modified Keto, LCHF and Paleo do not require strict calorie counting. However, they do not give you license to binge or overeat either. CICO does not totally apply here. There is more to it than that. Prior to the discovery and industrial development & prescribing of insulin, a low carbohydrate diet was the first line of defense for those of us with T2 Diabetes. It works for many, not all and has worked beautifully for me. I have been able to stop taking insulin, notorious for it's WEIGHT GAIN side effect. I am loosing weight gradually, steadily and have dropped 2 pant sizes. It's thrilling. So, for those of us with T2Diabetes, CICO is not enough.

I’m sorry you had a bad experience in here. I think I remember seeing one of those crazy debates. I think that there are a lot of diets out there that actually work (along with some fake ones).. it’s finding what works best for your body that’s hard. I was on one diet, and had to switch because my needs changed. 🤷🏻♀️ Anyway, congrats on your progress! The meal in the photo looks sooooo yummy! So sad that I won’t get to see more of them.
Ps. Good riddance to that dirt bag!

well said Chrisw77 we are a group of people with one thing is common, wanting to lose weight. But, that is the only thing that is common. People do not express themselves well, and also as in all things "internet" there is a sense of ambiguity. People do not feel responsible for their words, and don't care if they hurt feelings or not. It is a very sad by product of the internet and our times.

Thank you to Chrisw77 and all that shared words of understanding and encouragement. I might stick around and test the waters....my best to all.
