I'm making a transition today. After almost a year failing to maintain a Keto WOE I've decided to accept some carbs back into my life, and say goodbye to butter on everything. While I HAVE been able to lose when I'm very strict, even small slips will kick me out of ketosis and having me feel like crap again. im hoping a more fulfilling variety of foods will help me keep the cravings off. I'll be adding back things like fruit, quinoa, lentils, occasional root veggies, milk (instead of hwc), etc. I'll still be keeping away from refined or added sugars, and grains (like bread, rice, and pasta) except for special occasions. I will, of course, still be tracking calories. Maintaining a daily calorie limit should be easier since I will be able to fill up on lower cal veggies and fruits instead of supplementing high cal fats. I don't know if this will be the right choice for me in the long run, or if it will cause me to get stuck in a carb cycle again.. but I think it will be better for now. Wish me luck!
