crstlgls's Journal, 27 Jul 18

Been eating 1900 calories and gaining. Going for thyroid lab work next week. Taking 5000 IU vitamin D a day and still am headachy and tired. Cut my RDI another 100 calories. I'll see what this does. If it's not enough, I can cut it again.

I to have hypothyroid since a teenager. I was told not long ago that you cannot have any soy product when taking medication..It is difficult living with this condition, some days I get a lot of energy , then boom , tired as heck.. losing weight takes forever... Always wonder what it would be like not to feel tired all the time.. Haven't heard about vitamin d working good for tiredness.. I am going to start taking my vitamin d again to see.. wish you well.

I think the 1900 calories may be a little high for someone at your weight. Have you recalculated recently? I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis as well as another autoimmune disease. Weight loss is slow and one of my meds does make me sleepy. Exercise helps along with a diet low in inflammatory foods. Google foods that are considered inflammatory and try to eliminate a few. It may help!

What I’ve seen here before, if I get it right.... 1 pound equals 3500 calories. If you cut a 2000 daily calorie maintenance diet back to 1500 you shoul lose about a pound every 6 days or so? Might check with others here....?

Freedieting.com Mifflin-St Jeor calculator says 2071. Active.com says 2232. A Calorie calculator says 2065. Calorie needs calculator says 2131. Super Skinny Me says 2265. Calculator Pro says 2131.68. Shapefit says 2265. And Free Calorie Calculator says 2148. So the range calorie calculators are giving me is 2065-2265. But these numbers don't account for my thyroid problem. How should I account for it? How much should I take out?

are those maintenance numbers or showing a 500 calorie reduction for weight loss?? are you showing too much activity for what you truly do. the lowest setting includes a lot of basic activities. I use that and then add in my legit actual exercise.

I just looked at your exercise journal and your basic calorie burn looks like it is in the 1450 range. so how did you get to 2200 on other sites?? when you do actual exercise you can count that as additional calories you burn. so to lose weight you need to at least try getting down to your basic calorie burn level and use the real added exercise for your extra calories to promote weight loss.Dropping your carbs to 100 to 150 will help a lot with the extra calories too.

That's because i haven't recorded my exercise in a while. I do a Tae Bo tape for 34 minutes a day. Those are maintenance numbers for a 135 pound, 5' 7" tall woman, 37 years old, moderately active. Sometimes i walk around my area for 30 minutes to an hour to do grocery shopping. I use my utility cart, too.

If It's my Basal Metabolic Rate you are looking at, that would be 1330. The numbers i gave above include my activity level. This does not.

And so on, when u hit a low calorie amount 1600 calories n u stop losing weight add exercise instead of cutting more
