Went for my walk around 6:15 am very soupy out.Eaglet was whinning big
time this morning.He was spreading his wings in the nest and jumping up and down. He wants to go and he will.Just a little more confidence is needed.Boy,now I can read bald eagles minds,be careful maybe I can
read humans LOL

Okay,I am going to explain this out of control eating and drinking this
past weekend.No,I didn't get souse,just had a huge glass of wine.
You may not want to hear all this but I'm going to do it anyway.I'm proving a point so bear with me.

Just by overdoing cake,1 glass of wine,sm.6 inch pizza on Sunday,I gained 4 pounds just in this one day.I almost dropped dead(no I'm here
yapping)We all have to learn how our bodies react to foods.Mine,is not
only nuts like my brain,its very carb sensitive.Why did I do this knowing the reaction,very simple "I wanted too" because in my heart of
hearts doing Atkins would take it off .Yesterday I was totally clean
doing program and this morning my scale is safe,its not going into the
lake or getting blown up,I had a 2 pound loss.No I didn't record that
yesterday because I could feel it.My weigh in day is Thurs.So my point here(yes I'm getting to it)is Atkins works for me no matter what all
the negative people who aren't doing Atkins say.Its a healthy way and
I'm looking for good numbers next month at the dr.office.Now,I don't want to keep beating this horse to death,but all of you who are on this site are Atkins folks and getting,giving tips to each other on what works and what doesn't is the key to our successes,big,small or
indifferent.So yeah,we rear up of one of our own is getting knock around a bit,do not,do not let this stop you from staying here.Just think if you left,you wouldn't have the privilege of reading the books

a preacher.Can't help it,something gets in my head and says run with it.

Mary Ellen, I so look forward to reading your journal every day. Your eaglet will soon be soraing over head as you do your morning walks, and you will be able to see his majestic wings reflected against the sky. I can almost see him myself simply due to your wonderful updates. Thanks so much for telling us about him. As for your "splurge" last weekend, we all over indulge from time to time, the only thing to do is what you did, get right back on track and keep on truckin'!! I completely understand the carb sensitivity. My system is the same way. I ate an Atkins Advantage bar, which has a lot of total carbs, but only 3 net, and I gained a pound. It was probably due to water retention, since I lost it in 2 days, but still it was a lesson learned. Can't do those. I did break down yesterday and buy some of the Royal Chocolate Shakes. Will see how I like those, since I am not a big shake drinker, even when they are made with ICE CREAM (I love ICE CREAM). lol Hope you have a day that is as wonderful as you are!!

Mary Ellen if we could lose it as fast as we can it those pizza/wine weekends would be not so bad...but how can it take weeks to lose 4lbs and gain 4 in one weekend..I know I did it too :( but your right we can jump right back on Atkins and maybe next weekend our memories of this past one will keep us on track..arent we something :)

Mary Ellen-I love your posts. I can almost see your little eaglet from your stories, but I wish I could see it for real. It is just amazing. What a wonderful way for you to start your day, and ours too with you telling us about it. I too have such a hard time trying to figure out how we can gain 4 lbs. from a couple days and then it takes weeks to lose it. Glad you got rid of 2 of them though. I was doing great until I had my binge the day after Easter and of course gained (I think it was 4 lbs. too). Ever since I have been bouncing a few lbs. up and down. It is frustrating. But I am sticking with it and I'm glad you got right back on the wagon. Good job. And please keep up the good posts. P.S. In case you didn't notice I'm one to write the books too when I post. So I like it when you do too.

ctlss ~ if you aren't into shakes you might want to try the EAS ones. They are a lot more watered down, less like shakes and more like flavored water. I've only tried the cafe caramel ones so can't say how the other flavors are.
