Klynn82's Journal, 08 May 18

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Man, I struggled through my walk last night. It was hot, I was sore, and the humidity did a number on my breathing. I had to take multiple breaks just to get around the mile block. It usually takes me about 15-16mminutes, last night it took 22. I felt like I was dying. Thats what I get for skipping!! I know that I need to do it daily, I just hate it so much! haha. I love the view, I love how it makes me feel about myself, but I hate the actual ACT of walking. Its hard! I know that nothing easy is worth doing, but goodness, I was beat!!

I am going to do better tonight. I need to get a pair of pants that are comfortable to walk in, I walk in my jeans, which are too big, so I am struggling the whole time, which doesnt help the "want" to walk anymore. I need some yoga pants, or a sewn up circus tent. Something...lol

There is someone on here who posts journals and at the end they talk about "Today I will pray for..." and I love that! Whoever you are, I love your journals!! I keep forgetting to follow you, so if you see this, post a comment!! I think I might steal a little bit of your journal style, because I love the idea of saying that you are relying on God for guidance and support in your life choices. Great motivator, for me!! I know everyone has their own beliefs, but for me, relying on God is the only way I make it through the day!

Today I will pray for peace in my job and marriage, I will pray for strength on my walk, I will pray to make the right choices for my food intake and I will pray for mine and everyone elses will power to resist the things we know that we shouldnt eat. In Jesus name! Amen!!

I dont have much to report today. Its just another Tuesday. I wish you all the best on the roads you are traveling. I hope that you all achieve and win today!! And remember, if you dont win today...there is always tomorrow!! Sending my love!!

Yes, get some yoga pants for sure. You are already struggling with wanting to get out there, so anything that makes it more uncomfortable on you is a no no :)

Struggling is part of the journey. When I started at 477 lbs, I could barely walk 5 minutes (at an incredibly slow pace). I invested in some good tennis shoes, some comfortable sweats, an extra, extra large shirt and off I went. Now at 400 lbs, even though sometimes I don't look forward the walks, when I get into them, I feel so much better. They are great for depression. They are great for forgetting about eating. Now, when I walk, the more I sweat, the better I feel. I make sure these old grubby clothes are comfortable and will take care of the sweat as it pours down. I am no longer looking and searching for the liabilities. I am looking for the possibilities. My goal is 190. I WILL get there.

YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!! I love to hear that you kept going, and made it thru your walk. Definitely get you some comfy pants, nowadays there are some of those gaucho type (loosing fitting), anything to make it comfy (and no chafing) will help. Don't give up, you definitely can do it. If you ever need support feel free to message me. Keep it up!!!! :)

Today I will pray for the urge to not strangle the naturally-skinny case manager I work with who laughs at my rabbit food lunches :-D

KLynn, I wear yoga pants for my "uniform" while doing all my work around the house. (since I am retired now that means I wear them part or all of every day). I note that if yoga pants are hard to find or too hot, you ight try scrubs or at least the pants. they are made of light fabric, fit loosely, and are easy to find. You can even get them at the Family Dollar store...and yes, I wore them for most of my 33 year nursing career so no, I don't wear them now. You are a beautiful work in progress and you are making great progress. God is for you!

Great post! Walking in jeans can’t be fun haha! Get those yoga pants quick! I hate exercising every single time I’m doing it as well. I wish I was one of those people who loves it but nope! I’m not! Haha I’m proud of you Klynn!! You are amazing! Have a great day

Yes, definitely get some more comfy pants! Like becc@ said, some pretty ones make it more fun to put them in. Or like Gingerk said, scrubs are a great alternative! I wear them for work and are very comfy. I wear yoga pants or yoga capris around the house all the time. Only put jeans or denim capris on to go out. I actually look forward to putting on my workout wear since I have a few cute tops and some new, better fitting capris now. You are certainly a bright spot with your motivation to keep going. I've had those days where the walk was drudgery, but I kept going and was glad I did afterwards. One afternoon, I was so stinking tired walking up our hill to the house, my son, who loves to walk with me, got behind me and pushed, lol.

LOL, that was "put them on", not in!

First, a mile in 22 minutes is good!Don’t get discouraged! And you must get a pair of pants to walk in. Walmart has a lot of stretchy pants that are comfortable, light weight, and inexpensive. I think I pay just over $10 buck for their athletic pants
