HI EVERYONE!
So, many changes over the past year or so. I have been in Santa Barbara for almost 2 years now and have finished my second (of many) years of grad school. The first year was hard, wayy hard. I was happy just to get through it, diet and exercise fell by the wayside. Though I credit the healthy eating habits learned from my involvement here, from saving me from an all out deep end weight wise. More weight than I would have liked, still, crept on, and I'm ready to concentrate on getting it off. For good.

Though I have been out of touch there are things I have gained (aside from weight--which has fluctuated for sure), over the time of my absence here.
--I worked with a trainer whom proved to me I am stronger and more capable than I ever knew I was or could be, and the confidence to try many new things that I would never attempted before
--I experimented with following the Paleo diet, which while I would not follow as strictly long term, offered some really useful insights. It was fun and interesting to find new recipes and new ways to cook. I have and will take things from it to add to my continual journey towards a healthy lifestyle--mainly knowledge of a dairy sensitivity and management of carb intake.
--I found new ways to work out thanks to bodyrock.tv and Zuzana Light on YouTube. These have made working out at home super effective (in short amounts of time too!!)

So here goes nothin'!!
