I am proud of myself. I made a good plan to get through my retreat without going off Atkins and I stuck to my plan. I was very tempted by the cake a few times but I toughed it out and didn't have even a bite. There was a huge snack table full of all that poison we can't eat and I stayed away from all of it. A couple of times they had meals I couldn't eat like the zucchini lasagna and I had to resort to my pepperoni snacks and my cheese sticks and I ate my green pepper strips, celery strips, olives, pork rinds, macadamia nuts and shakes to get through. I think my calories were too high but I didn't go off my food plan and I even managed to drink more than half a case of water in three and a half days. I walked for half an hour one of the days. It was not easy to stick to the plan when all my friends around me were eating junk but they also helped me to stick to my plan. They stopped for lunch where I could get the right kind of food, put the candy on another table when I asked them to move it, gave me lots of positive feedback about losing weight and staying on my food plan and took me to buy ice for my food twice. I am relieved to be home where staying on my food plan is only moderately difficult. Thank God for this way of life and that I don't have to go back through withdrawal or struggle with cravings caused by going off the food plan. Hope all of you have had a wonderful low-carb weekend.

Congratulations, Andrea! Great job! I know how difficult it can be when you're not at home. I wasn't nearly as good at sticking to my diet as you were. You must be proud of yourself. (I hope so) I hope you enjoyed the retreat. Was it nice to be away for a few days?

It was a great retreat and it was nice to be away but it is also a relief to be home where I can manage my food easier.

Well I for one am so proud of the strength you demonstrated on your retreat. You are such a motivation for me. If you can get through that, I should be able to as well. Keep it up honey.
