I'm thinking about buying that Teeccino Coffee that isn't really coffee. I miss the ritual of that warm cup of joe in the morning at work. Actually, I really miss those flavored creamers, which, of course, are definitely not allowed on the Fat Flush Plan. I wonder if anyone has any suggestion on creamer-like substitutes since Ms. Gittleman only talks about Teeccino and stevia. I'm one of those 2/3 coffee, 1/3 creamer kind of gals! And, even though I only drank one mug of coffee per day and maybe 1 - 2 glasses of sweet tea or coke per week (oh, and some dark chocolate here and there, I still had the caffein withdrawl headache when I quit.

Hi I was the same way about coffee and decided to give teecino a try. I ordered the sampler pack from the teecino website (www.teecino.com). It arrived in a few days and I tried the vanilla nut. If you like those flavored creamers you might like this. I also tried the original. Teecino does NOT taste like coffee but it tastes OK and it does satisfy the desire for a hot beverage in the morning. I also like my coffee with cream but since dairy is out I used silk soy milk creamer. I figured if tofu was OK in phase I then a tbsp of soy milk creamer can't be too bad... My conclusion - its worth a try but don't psyche yourself up for a rich coffee experience. Instead, psyche yourself up for a nice hot cup of something new...

I found something called Postum....it works for my one cup a week fix. It taste okay. For my warm fix...i have found taking the cranberry water and mixing it with my orange flavored stevia and a sprinkle of cinnamon....warm in MW....this is really good.

If you want that old hot beverage in the morning. Try 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in hot water with 1 packet of Stevia Plus. It is like a lemon tea in the morning. It gives you that hot cup and helps flush the liver.

I know the caffiene in coffee isn't advisable on the plan but what seems to be wrong with drinking Decaf? I really miss coffee just for the comfort and taste of it. Any suggestions or ideas?

Has anyone tried the dandelion root coffee mentioned in the book?

Orange flavored Stevia....sounds yummy. I'll have to try that out!
BTW -- Decaf still has some caffiene and, besides, the decaffination process turns it acidic, which is a fat flush no no.

Love the Teecino! Yum! Not its not coffee, but smells and tastes great....just as long as youre not from Seattle you might like it, too. My friend and I who work together (she's on the diet as well) like to put a little vanilla soy creamer, Silk, and its delicious....no need for Stevia even. And she's a sugar-a-holic.
