Okay, so I focused REALLY HARD on eating within the calorie range yesterday, and am down a full lb today, woo hoo!! Especially since yesterday had me stressed and depressed - stressed because we found out the new home we'd picked to build won't fit on the lot I put money down on, grrr!!! And depressed (sad, really) because the publication the Professor I've been working for is going to a different Law School in San Antonio. I knew it was coming, but still, very sad day. But one good thing is I DIDN'T turn to food. I must admit, being stressed/depressed doesn't MAKE me eat; it's the handy-dandy excuse for me to eat whatever junk food I want. So, here are 5 things I can do for stress/depressed besides eating:
1. Kickboxing (okay, probably Tai Chi); 2. Take a walk; 3. Listen to music; 4. Gardening; and 5. Housecleaning.
Yesterday I chose gardening - I have some rose bushes that need some rehabbing, since I've let them go for so long. Spent about 1 1/2 hrs cutting them back & clearing out some of the undergrowth. This weekend I will finish up with that, plus give them some manure (I've heard it's good for roses). That 1 1/2 hrs probably contributed to the 1 lb down, and is the ONLY reason I allowed myself a snickers ice cream bar at 180 cals. Oh, I also went to the gym & spent 35 min. on the elliptical. Tonight we RUN!!!
