My intended workout routine is this: Day 1 cardio (elliptical stepper)for 45 minutes; Day 2 weight lifting (20ish minutes) & cardio (25ish minutes) Day 3 cardio (elliptical stepper) 45 minutes Day 4 no planned activity, but try to walk
I like this routine. The day of rest seems to help my knee, and this gives me no more than 2 days of weight lifting in a week which is good for me. The book I've been reading about health ("Younger Next Year") says to work out 6 of 7 days for 45 minutes each day, but I strained my knee when I was trying to follow that. In a 28 day period that plan would have me working out 24 days and my plan would have me working out 21 days.
