Good Evening, FS Warriors! Well, I was hoping for a drop yesterday, but to be quite honest, it doesn't surprise me that I didn't. I went from 256 to 249 just before I got back on track, so I think I'm at a plateau. I'll admit I haven't been perfect this week, but I have done my exercises religiously every day, and except for a few late night forages, I've done pretty good in the food department as well. At least, it seems that I am eating a lot less, and doing a lot more in retirement, than I was when going to work every day. I'll just have to wait and see. It's always about the long haul; if I'm doing this for a month with no results, then I will begin to worry a little bit, and make some adjustments. Right now, I am even amazing myself at what I'm getting done, so I'm not going into panic mode just yet.
Today was a great sunshiny day, and it just felt good to get out and piddle for a while in the shop, and then come back inside and work on cleaning and organizing. I took every opportunity to head outside to the burn barrel. I even took the trike up to the local gas station and filled her up with gas. Of course I had to get out on the road and blow the cobwebs out of her before I put her away. Brought the Ford 8N distributor inside so I could set it up. I'm going to rewire the tractor before Spring (I hope). I want to make it my main mowing tractor for the schoolyard and the church yard. DW and the kids can use the riding lawnmowers if they want to, but I like being out on the tractors.
I stayed up late last night doing homework (or I should say, early this morning). When I was about to go to bed, I went into the bedroom and the dog was sprawled across the bed where I sleep. I just went back and slept in the recliner. I probably won't do that again; I didn't sleep all that great; went to be about 2:00 and got up about 7. I don't plan on staying up late tonight.
Our friends and us have a Friday night ritual of going out to eat. That's probably not going to change, even though what I eat might. Last night, I had the steak and shrimp fajitas, three relatively small tortillas, the refried beans and salad with the guacamole (typical Mexican fare). I'm sure I ate enough for two (and no, I'm not pregnant).
Well anyway, that's enough rambling for one evening. Toodles!
